Tragic Hit-and-Run Crash near McDowell Road Kills Woman [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (February 12, 2024) On Friday evening, a woman crossing the street was killed in a horrific hit-and-run crash near McDowell Road.

According to Phoenix police, the fatal collision happened around 8 p.m. near 24th Street and McDowell Road.

Officials say that an SUV struck the female pedestrian while crossing mid-block. Authorities say that the SUV continued driving without stopping to aid the fallen victim.

Medics rushed the woman to the hospital after the crash, however, the woman ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.

Authorities are investigating the deadly pedestrian crash.
