Hit-and-Run Crash on Manchester Avenue Kills Man and Woman [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (August 19, 2022) – Earlier today, a man and a woman lost their lives in a hit-and-run crash on Manchester Avenue.

It was just minutes after 4 a.m. when the fatal incident took place at the intersection with Broadway. Officers say three cars and a semi-truck were involved in the collision.

According to the investigators, troopers tried to pull over the suspects’ green Cadillac after it sped westbound but the driver did not stop.

The vehicle ran a red light and crashed with the other vehicles. Consequently, the collision’s impact pushed the victims’ car into the big rig.

Responding officers declared a man and a woman, both in their 30s, dead at the scene.

“It’s horrible,” Officer Jeffrey Lee says. The officer stated that the victims were simply “driving down the street at 4 in the morning. That’s like a lot of us, right? Going to work, getting our day started”.

“You’re obeying all the traffic laws, you have a green light — and the next thing you know, your life ends.”

Moreover, the others involved in the crash were not seriously injured.

The three suspects fled on foot but were arrested.
