2 People Injured in Solo-Vehicle Crash at I-5 Interchange

Federal Way, WA (December 30, 2022) On Thursday afternoon, a solo-car accident on Highway 18 resulted in minor injuries.

WSP says that a man and a woman sustained injuries after the solo-vehicle crash at the I-5 interchange around 12:30 p.m.

Reports say that the vehicle struck a Jersey wall causing the car to go into the left lane of traffic. Eventually, the vehicle ended up on the right lane.

Meanwhile, officials blocked the left lane during the clean up and repair of the concrete barrier.

Moreover, authorities are investigating the solo-car accident and have not released further information at this time.

Gas costs have yet to descend, and even so, traffic on Washington highways has carried on as busy and as dangerous as ever.

The Washington Traffic Safety Commission has a plan titled “Target Zero”, with the goal of decreasing deaths and serious injuries on Washington’s roadways to zero by 2030. Despite this, accidents statewide continue to take the lives of hundreds each year.

In truth, everyone must drive defensively to avoid traffic accidents like the solo-vehicle crash at the I-5 Interchange as much as possible.

Making sure that your car is in pristine condition on a regular basis plays a big part in everyone’s safety.

Maintain your car’s roadworthiness by checking its tires, oil, brake fluid, mirrors, brakes, and air filters regularly so we can avoid incidents like the Highway 18 solo-car accident.
