Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on E Saunders St
Laredo, TX (May 7, 2024) – 44-year-old Maribel Zavala was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 2101 E Saunders Street Sunday morning.
Investigators said Zavala was fatally hit by a vehicle around 5 a.m. while crossing the street in a wheelchair.
Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital where she was later declared deceased.
The involved driver left the crash scene after the collision.
In the meantime, troopers are investigating this deadly crash.
