51-Year-Old Man Dead after Orange Pedestrian Accident on Meats Avenue

 
ORANGE, CA (January 16, 2020) – A man identified as Gilberto Andrade was killed in a pedestrian accident on Meats Avenue Tuesday evening.
 
According to reports, 51-year-old Andrade, of Orange was struck by a vehicle as he crossed Meats Avenue near Nordic Street. Orange County Deputies later pronounced Andrade dead at the scene at 6:13 p.m.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
The events leading up to the collision are currently unclear. However, police did not issue any citations or arrests as of this time.
 
Moreover, the collision temporarily shut down Meats Avenue from Tustin Street to Canal Street on Tuesday evening. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
