Norma Munoz arrested in San Juan fatal crash

San Juan, TX (March 14, 2023) – On Sunday night, Gerardo Medina, 51, of San Juan, lost his life in a Caesar Chavez Road DWI collision.

The authorities received the crash report at about 8:43 p.m., south of Minnesota Road.

DPS said a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Norma Munoz, 46, was southbound on Caesar Chavez Road. Suddenly, the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway and the vehicle rolled over.

The passenger, Gerardo Medina, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Unfortunately, the Chevrolet rested on top of his head.

Gerardo Medina succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Moreover, the authorities arrested Norma Munoz for intoxication and manslaughter.
