Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car on Duarte Road and Sunset Boulevard [Arcadia, CA]

1 Killed in Arcadia Pedestrian Accident

ARCADIA, CA (December 3, 2018) – A female pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car while walking across a street in Arcadia on November 30.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Duarte Road, just west of Sunset Boulevard, Arcadia Police Department Lt. Mike Castro revealed.

According to Castro, the 52-year-old female Arcadia resident was trying to cross the busy road when she was hit by a vehicle.

She was then transported to a hospital for treatment to no avail, she succumbed to death. Her name remains unreleased as of this time.

Arcadia police Sgt. John Bonomo stated that the driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigators.

The collision remains under investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
