SOLANO COUNTY, CA (April 27, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian crash on 80 Freeway and American Canyon Road led to a fatality.
 
The incident happened before 1:42 a.m. on 80 Freeway and American Canyon Road.
 
According to reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian west of the off-ramp for American Canyon Road.
 
Reports said that a person was seen dancing in the eastbound lanes of the highway south of the off-ramp for American Canyon Road.
 
As a result, the CHP shut down the lanes of the four-lane highway. However, by 3:07 a.m. all lanes of the eastbound highway reopened.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
