Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Mail Truck Driver in Everett

 
EVERETT, WA (January 23, 2019) – An elderly woman lost her life Tuesday evening when she was hit by a mail truck at Colby and Pacific avenues.
 
The deadly pedestrian accident happened around 5:45 p.m. Per reports, the woman was believed to be using a walker while in a crosswalk at the intersection; however, investigators believe the mail truck had the green light.
 
The driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative with police and investigators. Authorities have ruled out impairment as a contributing possibility to the crash.
