Eddie Lustro Dies in Motorcycle Accident on South Gene Autry Trail and Dinah Shore Drive

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (March 19, 2019) – A Palm Springs American Medical Response paramedic died in a motorcycle crash Monday on South Gene Autry Trail and Dinah Shore Drive.
 
The collision turned deadly around 8:30 a.m. Eddie Lustro, 34, collided with a Honda sedan as both vehicles headed southbound on South Gene Autry Trail.
 
According to reports, the Honda came to a stop in the left southbound lane while the motorcycle came to a stop just south of it.
 
At this time, the cause of the accident remains unclear, but authorities are investigating whether impairment played a role.
 
Following the incident, a dozen emergency responders congregated to honor Lustro as their colleagues consoled them.
