Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 70 Involves Dung Trung Huynh near Oroville

 
Marysville, CA (March 30, 2021) – On Monday, 41-year-old Dung Trung Huynh of San Jose was involved in a fatal wrong-way crash on Highway 70.
 
Responders received the crash report at around 6:18 a.m. between Oroville and Marysville.
 
Apparently, a Ford F250 going southbound on Highway 70, south of Lower Honcut Road was swerving between lanes and driving at high speeds.
 
Minutes later, the F250 crashed with a northbound Ford Explorer.
 
As a result, the Ford Explorer was pushed off the east shoulder. It flipped over and started a fire.
 
On the other hand, the F250 overturned in the northbound lane and struck a northbound Lexus RX3500.
 
Unfortunately, the F250 driver, a 38-year-old man from Paradise, and the Explorer driver, a 31-year-old Yuba City man, died at the scene.
 
The Lexus driver, Huynh, was not injured in the crash.
 
Officers said alcohol or drug usage is unknown at this time.
