PIERCE COUNTY, WA (January 5, 2023) – Wednesday morning, two drivers sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Pioneer Way East.
 
The incident happened just after 11:00 a.m. in the 6300 block of Pioneer Way.
 
When emergency crews responded, they extracted both drivers from their vehicles. Then, they transported both drivers to the hospital. One of them sustained serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers confirmed that one of the vehicles overturned and the other ended up in the ditch.
