1 Dead in San Francisco Auto Accident on Highway 101 and North Access Road

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 17, 2022) – Friday night, a driver died in a box truck crash on Highway 101 and North Access Road.
 
The incident happened at 7:27 p.m. on Highway 101, northbound North Access Road on-ramp.
 
According to reports, a Honda driver attempted to make a U-turn across two pairs of double lines. Then, it crashed with the box truck driver as they entered the on-ramp at the same time.
 
Officers noted that the 60-year-old South San Francisco man driving the Honda may not have been properly restrained in a seatbelt.
 
Responders took the man to San Francisco General Hospital with major injuries. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. At this time, his identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Also, the crash shut down the ramp during the investigation and reopened after three hours.
