Traffic Stalled after Santa Clarita Accident on Templin Highway

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 6, 2021) – Friday afternoon, authorities arrested a driver after a police chase ended in a crash on Templin Highway.
 
According to CHP Traffic Management Center Officer Stephan Brandt, the incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. The officers received a report about a hit-and-run crash near 5 Freeway and 210 Freeway in Sylmar.
 
Officers caught up with the suspect around Valencia Boulevard and attempted a traffic stop. Then, the authorities started a pursuit after the hit-and-run vehicle fled north on 5 Freeway.
 
They continued chasing the suspect from Castique to Templin Highway. Then, the hit-and-run vehicle has been involved in a rollover crash.
 
Moreover, responders confirmed that no one was injured in the initial crash. Also, the suspect sustained no injuries in the rollover crash.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP temporarily closed all northbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway. A SigAlert was issued at around 2:04 p.m.
