1 Person Dead in Buckeye Off-Road Vehicle Accident on Interstate 10 near Hassayampa Road

BUCKEYE, AZ (August 7, 2023) – Sunday morning, a devastating single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Hassayampa Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. on Interstate 10, west of Hassayampa Road.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, an off-road vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons and crashed into the bed of the currently dry Hassayampa River.

Moreover, responders pronounced the off-road vehicle driver, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported two passengers of the vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
