SANTA ANA, CA (April 22, 2024) – Saturday night, a devastating pedestrian crash on 2100 N Bristol Street killed 1 person.

The incident happened just after 10:00 p.m. in the area of 2100 N Bristol Street.

Several calls reported that a pedestrian was down in traffic lanes on N Bristol Street. Thus, officers, along with the Orange County Fire Authority, came to the scene and found an adult male in the roadway next to a vehicle. Unfortunately, despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Moreover, a preliminary investigation said that the pedestrian was walking westbound across the northbound lanes of Bristol Street. Then, he was hit by the vehicle, which was driving north.

Officers confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

Moreover, officers ruled out alcohol or drugs as a factor in the crash.
