FRESNO, CA (March 20, 2023) – Saturday, a crash on McKinley Avenue and Millbrook Avenue left Deshaun Lowe trapped in the wreckage.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of McKinley Avenue and Millbrook Avenue.

According to the homeowner, a family member was trapped inside the home following the crash. Fortunately, they only suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Nicole Cowing, the homeowner, stated that her son was playing video games at home. Then, a yellow Camaro crashed into their residence. Deshaun Lowe, Cowing’s son, said that he was trapped under the car bumper and between a chair and a couch. The individuals in the car helped free his leg before fleeing the scene.

Cowing stated that her family has lost everything they owned and no longer have a place to live. Emergency crews have advised them not to go inside the house as it is unsafe. Despite the loss of their material possessions, Cowing expressed gratitude that her son survived the incident.

“I was just confused, hurt, sad, just a whole lot of emotions,” Lowe said. The family had lived in the home for 30 years, and Cowing now finds herself homeless. “There are so many things that go through your mind, but always, always, I believe my god keeps us all day,” Cowing said.
