Upton County Collision Kills Lorenzo Carmona of Pasadena
Upton County, TX (January 28, 2023) – On January 26, DeRichee Nkogallago, 31, of Odessa, and Lorenzo Carmona, 26, of Pasadena, were killed in a Highway 349 head-on crash.
The collision occurred 24 miles south of Midland involving three vehicles.
Officers said a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Carmona was northbound on the freeway while both a 2020 Jeep Gladiator and 2021 Ford F-150 driven by Nkogallago were southbound.
The Silverado failed to stay in its lane and collided with the Gladiator which rolled over. Then, the Silverado struck the front of the Ford F-150.
Unfortunately, DeRichee Nkogallago and Lorenzo Carmona died at the scene.
A passenger in Lorenzo Carmona’s vehicle is currently in critical condition at Medical Center Hospital.
Moreover, the Gladiator driver did not sustain injuries from the collision.
Officers are still investigating the Upton County collision.
