SR395 DUI Collision Kills 28-Year-Old Deive Mendoza
Pasco, WA (February 23, 2022) – On January 22, 28-year-old Deive Mendoza of Wapato sustained fatal injuries in a suspected DUI crash on State Route 395, involving driver Jose Munoz Lazo, 24.
It was about 2 a.m. when the incident took place near the Tri-Cities airport.
Officers said Lazo lost control of his car which rolled on the ramp from State Route 395 to Westbound Interstate 182.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed all the vehicle’s five occupants to hospitals.
However, on Tuesday, Mendoza died due to the injuries sustained from the collision.
Officers said charges against Lazo are pending.
