Traffic Accident Near Jackson Avenue Kills San Jose Teen
San Jose, CA (October 25, 2022) – On October 3, 16-year-old Danielle Lopez lost her life in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 680.
The fatal incident happened at about 12:37 a.m. near Jackson Avenue.
Investigating officers say Danielle Lopez was struck by at least five vehicles in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
Moreover, according to the CHP, Lopez ran in front of a GMC Canyon, which fatally struck her. Then, her body was also hit by four more vehicles.
A driver of a Scion hatchback lost control trying to avoid Lopez’s body and overturned their vehicle. Luckily, the driver did not incur injuries.
