Danielle Harder Injured in Fatal DUI Crash on Carpenter Road [Stanislaus County, CA]

STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (December 23, 2021) – Late Monday night, a Modesto man died in a DUI crash on Carpenter Road and Monte Vista Avenue.

The accident involving a pickup truck and a sedan occurred at the intersection of S. Carpenter Road and W. Monte Vista Avenue. Moreover, it happened several miles south of Modesto, west of Turlock.

At this time, the investigators suspect that the pickup, in which Danielle Harder sat as passenger, failed to yield at the stop sign.

Then, it crashed into the sedan. As a result, the pickup rolled over several times, ejecting its two occupants.

The 32-year-old male pickup driver from Modesto, Russell Bennett, 33, died at the scene. Meanwhile, responders transported a 25-year-old female passenger from Oakdale, Ms. Harder, to the hospital with major injuries.

Also, the authorities suspect that drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Meanwhile, the sedan driver, 44-year-old Victor Flores Barrera of Modesto, suffered minor injuries. Even so, responders transported him to the hospital as well.
