PALERMO, CA (June 8, 2021) – Sunday night, a passenger Daniel Drummon sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Lone Tree Road and Palermo Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved two cars, including a CHP vehicle. Additionally, it happened at around 10:00 p.m. The crash occurred on Lone Tree and Palermo Road, south of Oroville.
 
Apparently, Benjamin Caldeira, 21, drove a 2008 silver Kia Rio southbound on Lone Tree Road, while CHP Officer P. Vue tried to pull him over for suspected DUI.
 
Shortly after, the Kia collided with the side of the CHP vehicle, causing it to roll over down an embankment.
 
After the crash, the Kia started catching fire.
 
As a result of the accident, the CHP officer, Caldeira, and the kia passenger Daniel Drummon, 22, of Palermo sustained injuries.
 
Moreover, paramedics transported one person to a hospital via helicopter.
