San Marcos, CA (April 2, 2021) – Friday evening, a cyclist Steven Drake sustained serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Woodland Parkway.
 
The San Marcos crash happened shortly before 8 p.m; on April 1.
 
According to reports, a 71-year-old man was found lying in the street on Woodland Parkway north of Fulton Road.
 
Police determined the cyclist was in the northbound lane when he was hit from the rear by a silver Audi A4. The driver then immediately fled the scene.
 
Emergency crews took the man to Palomar Hospital to be treated for severe injuries.
