Injuries Reported in Modesto Vehicle Crash on W Orangeburg Avenue and Tully Road

MODESTO, CA (January 2, 2024) – On New Year’s Eve, a crippling auto accident on W Orangeburg Avenue and Tully Road injured 4 people.

The incident happened just after noon, on West Orangeburg Avenue, off Tully Road.

According to reports, a speeding driver crashed his/her car through a fire hydrant, a home’s fence, and then crashed into the home next door.

Meanwhile, officers do not suspect that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

“The simple fact is that someone could have been killed all because of speeding,” said Robert Liberto whose fence was destroyed.

After the crash, responders took the driver to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Meanwhile, three people inside the home, including an adult woman and two children, were hurt.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
