DUI Driver Colin Murray Arrested after Orcutt Car Accident

 
ORCUTT, CA (February 25, 2019) – A 28-year-old man identified as Collin James Murray, was seriously injured Monday evening in a rollover crash on Orcutt Road.
 
Authorities received dispatch calls about the incident around 6:40 PM. First responders arrived to the scene near Union Valley Parkway.
 
Murray was driving a Pontiac south on Orcutt, when he veered off the roadway and onto the sidewalk. There, he consequently struck a nearby traffic signal. The Pontiac eventually overturned, striking the rear of a 2014 Toyota and another pole. Then, the Pontiac entered a drainage canal where it eventually landed on its roof.
 
Murray was taken to a Santa Maria hospital for immediate treatment due to the extent of his injuries. He suffered a liver laceration and bleeding in the brain, because of the impact. Further updates on his current medical condition have not been disclosed. Moreover, the Toyota driver did not sustain injuries.
 
Police officers later arrested Murray on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
