Charles Vance Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on Monticello Road [NAPA, CA]

Afternoon Head-On Crash at Monticello Road and Vichy Avenue Badly Injures 1 Driver

 
NAPA, CA (October 29, 2019) – A man was badly injured following a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Napa, authorities said.
 
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. on Monticello Road, just north of Vichy Avenue.
 
According to the CHP, a 33-year-old Braden Conners was driving on Monticello Road when for unknown reasons, he veered across solid double yellow lines to pass another vehicle. His vehicle then collided head-on into another car, driven by Charles Vance, 60, of Napa.
 
As a result, Vance suffered major injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in an unknown condition.
 
Meanwhile, Conners was unharmed.
 
Traffic was blocked in both directions for about 45 minutes while officers worked on the scene.
 
Authorities said intoxication was not a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
