Fatality Reported in La Puente Unified School Bus Accident in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (May 13, 2023) – On May 8, Blanca Arcelia Guerrero, a 76-year-old woman, lost her life after she was fatally struck by a school bus on North Unruh Avenue.
It was about 2:20 p.m. when the accident took place south of Fairgrove Avenue involving a Hacienda La Puente Unified school bus.
Investigating officer said the victim was walking northbound when she was hit. Guerrero fell to the ground which broke her skull and killed her instantly.
It is unknown if any children were inside the bus at the time of the accident.
CHP said alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the collision. Officers are still investigating.
