Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 19 near Milepost 15

 
RIO RICO, AZ (September 29, 2019) – At least one person died in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 19, Sunday morning.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the incident happened at about 5:30 AM. Due to unknown reasons, three vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Interstate 19 at milepost 15.
 
Emergency responders pronounced at least one person dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. No other injuries were reported by the department.
 
The Arizona Department of Transportation continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Anyone with information about this collision can call the authorities as soon as possible. Investigators will release additional details to the public once they become available.
