LAVON, TX (November 7, 2019) — Four Nevada high school students died Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 78 near Main Street.
According to LaVergne police, the deadly crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. where Highway 78 and Main Street meet.

As a result of the impact, three people inside the van suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
However, the four pickup truck victims – described as students of Community High School in Nevada – lost their lives. Lavon police identified them as Andrew Miller, 17; Jordan Kidd, 17; Marilynn Dominguez, 16; and Secily Lackey, 16.
Students and families attended a memorial held at Community High School’s Braves Stadium on Wednesday.
Because information concerning this crash remains unclear, authorities are investigating further to ascertain the circumstances and possible factors that played a role.
