Injuries Reported in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Accident on Blackstone Avenue and Bullard Avenue

FRESNO, CA (August 5, 2023) – Friday night, an alarming 3-vehicle crash on Blackstone Avenue and Bullard Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Blackstone Avenue and Bullard Avenue. As officers patrolled the area, they noticed a silver Infinity vehicle making doughnuts at the parking lot of the Southeast corner of the intersection.

Then, the officers tried to pull over the vehicle for reckless driving. However, the driver escaped toward Blackstone Avenue and drove northbound.

Then, officers stopped pursuing the vehicle, but upon arrival at Blackstone and Bullard, they spotted the vehicle had been involved in a crash with two other vehicles.

Then, they immediately arrested the driver of the Infinity, a man in his 20s. Meanwhile, two occupants in the vehicle sustained injuries and received treatment at the scene.

Also, the drivers of the other vehicles involved in the crash received treatment at the scene.

The Fresno Fire Department helped in freeing one of the drivers out of her vehicle who was trapped in. She was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fresno Police Department confirmed that the driver of the Infinity was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving.

“Street racing has been an issue in Fresno lately, we do have a team of traffic officers who are dedicated to patrolling and enforcing laws relating to street racing issues,” revealed Leslie Williams with the Fresno Police Department. “They have been affected, they are here in the evenings, and they have been able to address and suppress all the street racing that has been occurring.

Also, the authorities will be determining whether the use of substances played a role in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash shut down lanes in the area to allow trucks to clear the area.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
