2 Critical after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 49 South in Mariposa
Mariposa, CA (May 12, 2023) – Friday morning, three people sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 49 South.
The multi-vehicle crash on Highway 49 South in Mariposa happened around 11:00 a.m. on May 12.
According to CHP, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on Highway 49 South when a 2003 Ford Taurus entered the southbound lane of Highway 49 South directly in front of the Chevrolet.
As a result, the Chevrolet collided with the Ford. The driver of the Ford and her passenger were both taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The third occupant of the Ford suffered minor injuries, and the other driver was uninjured.
Officials say it does not appear that alcohol and/or drugs played a role in this collision.
