Driver Arrested after DUI Auto Accident on 44th Avenue in Lynnwood

Lynnwood, WA (April 22, 2020) – Saturday night, three people were injured in a three-vehicle DUI collision near Alderwood Mall.

Dispatchers first received reports of the crash around 9:35 p.m., on April 18. Deputies and medics headed to 44th Avenue West near Alderwood Mall Boulevard, shortly after.

According to police, the accident involved three vehicles. However, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Moreover, there were at least three injured victims found at the scene. One woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment of critical injuries.

Meanwhile, two other victims were brought to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds, for further treatment of unknown injuries.

The surrounding area on 44th Avenue was closed down for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.

Later, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

At this time, the collision investigation remains active and ongoing.
