2 Hurt in Yuma Auto Accident on Avenue A and County 16th Street
YUMA, AZ (August 24, 2021) – On Sunday, two people sustained injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Avenue A and County 16th Street.
According to Public Information Officer Sargent Edgar Guerra, the incident happened on Avenue A and County 16th Street.
Reports revealed that a northbound blue 2010 Ford F150 truck struck a northbound tan 2018 Chevrolet Cruze sedan. Also, reports confirmed that the Chevrolet suddenly entered the southbound lane.
The force of the crash pushed both vehicles off the road and came into rest on the west side of Avenue A.
Furthermore, responders transported the sedan driver to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Then, they airlifted the patient to Phoenix-area hospital for additional treatment.
Meanwhile, a passenger of the Ford sustained minor injuries. On the other hand, the driver suffered no injuries in the incident.
Moreover, officials believe that alcohol played a role in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
