2 Dead in Aromas Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Cannon Road

 
AROMAS, CA (December 12, 2022) – Sunday morning, two people died in a crash on Highway 101 near Cannon Road.
 
The incident that killed two drivers happened around 3:30 a.m. Reports said that the driver crashed into a large eucalyptus tree that fell on the roadway of Highway 101 near Cannon Road.
 
The tree first fell on top of a southbound Toyota Prius on Highway 101. Then, the Prius became stuck under the tree while it was blocking all lanes.
 
Eventually, a southbound black GMC Sierra truck crashed into the fallen tree, causing major damage.
 
Afterward, a blue BMW driving in the same direction also struck the tree, experiencing major damage as well.
 
As a result, the GMC truck driver along with the passenger of the BMW both died at the scene,
 
At this time, the CHP does not believe that drug or alcohol played a factor in these accidents.
