OTAY MESA, CA (June 21, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Thursday morning following a 805 Freeway wrong-way crash, near Palm Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident unfolded around 5:10 p.m. on the southbound 805 Freeway.
 
A red sedan, believed to be heading northbound in the southbound lanes, collided with a Jeep.
 
Officials received reports regarding the accident and responded to the scene. There, emergency crews had to cut through the sedan to free the driver before transporting her to a local hospital with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the Jeep driver sought treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
