2 Hospitalized in Shafter Accident on Fanucci Way and Zachery Avenue

 
SHAFTER, CA (February 9, 2022) – Tuesday morning, two people sustained injuries in a police chase crash on Fanucci Way and Zachery Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:15 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Fanucci Way and Zachery Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a Shafter police officer pursued a speeding vehicle. As the patrol vehicle attempted to overtake the speeding vehicle, another vehicle turned left in front of the patrol vehicle. As a result, the patrol vehicle with its light collided with the third vehicle.
 
Moreover, responders transported the officer driving the patrol vehicle to Kern Medical for a complaint of pain. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the third vehicle to Kern Medical with unknown injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers haven’t disclosed any description of the speeding vehicle at this time.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP and Shafter Police Department handle the investigation.
