SACRAMENTO, CA (February 24, 2021) – Tuesday night, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 99 and Mack Road.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, two vehicles struck a pedestrian on the southbound lane of Highway 99 and Mack Road.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Also, it is still unclear as to why the pedestrian was on the highway at the time of the crash, CHP said.
 
Furthermore, the incident closed all southbound lanes of Highway 99 at Mack Road.
