One Hospitalized after Navy Helicopter Crash  on U.S. Navy Training Area near the California-Arizona Border in Yuma

Yuma, AZ (June 9, 2022) – Thursday night, one person sustained injuries in a navy helicopter crash in a U.S. Navy training area near the California-Arizona border.

The crash happened on June 9, about 35 miles north of Yuma.

Reportedly, the helicopter involved was an MH-60S Seahawk. That type of chopper is primarily used for anti-surface warfare, combat support, and humanitarian disaster relief.

There were four people on board. EMS transported one patient to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No information on what led to the crash at this time.
