Zachariah Zile Detained, Woman Killed in San Bernardino Car Accident on 210 Freeway
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (July 12, 2019) – A woman from Apple Valley died while authorities arrested a person after a DUI car accident on 210 Freeway.
The incident occurred on July 10 at about 1:10 a.m. According to reports, a 49-year-old Apple Valley woman headed westbound in a 1999 Tan Lincoln Navigator on 210 Freeway, east of Arden Avenue.
Meanwhile, 33-year-old Zachariah Jorel Zile of Apple Valley drove a 2018 Dodge Charger in the same direction. As a result, the Dodge crashed into the Lincoln’s back. After that, the vehicle spun out of control into the right shoulder embankment. In addition, it hit a light pole.
Responders transported the Lincoln driver to a hospital with major life-threatening injuries. However, she succumbed to her injuries. Her identity remains unreleased due to the pending family notification.
Furthermore, Zile escaped the scene but authorities caught him shortly after. Authorities arrested Zile on suspicion of murder, driving under the influence, and hit and run.
