Yasar Barakzai Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Fairview Road [Costa Mesa, CA]

22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Yasar Barakzai Dies in Costa Mesa Accident

 
COSTA MESA, CA (March 19, 2019) – Tuesday night, a 22-year-old man identified as Yasar Barakzai from Irvine was killed in a motorcycle accident.
 
Costa Mesa Police Department responded to the crash at 8:49 PM. In addition, the police stated it happened at the intersection of El Camino Drive and Fairview Road. Soon after, first responders arrived immediately.
 
Police pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
The other vehicle involved was only identified as being a Lyft driver.
 
Sergeant Bryan Wadkins stated Barakzai was traveling north on Fairview. Soon after, the Lyft driver driving west on El Camino made a left turn onto southbound Fairview Road.
 
The Lyft vehicle had no passengers at the time. In addition, he remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. Costa Mesa Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation team was called to the scene.
