Drivers Die in Clark County Traffic Accident
Clark County, WA (October 16, 2023) – A 37-year-old Woodland man and a 63-year-old Portland man were both killed following an Interstate 5 wrong-way crash Sunday early morning.
The fatal collision unfolded at about 1:45 a.m. near milepost 8.
WSP officers said a car driven by the Portland man was southbound in the northbound lanes while another car driven by the Woodland man was northbound on the freeway.
The car driven the wrong way struck the other car head-on and both vehicles stopped blocking the northbound lanes.
Sadly, both drivers were killed at the accident scene.
There is no update if drugs or alcohol were involved in this collision.
