Morning Head-On Collision in Woodland Leaves One Dead
WOODLAND, CA (January 25, 2019) – One person was killed following a head-on crash Friday morning in Woodland, CHP officials said.
The fatal crash happened around 6:50 a.m. on eastbound County Road 19, just West of County Road 94B.
According to an initial report, a green Chevrolet Trailblazer collided head-on with another car, sending one of them down into a ditch. A male occupant in one of the cars was reportedly trapped inside the vehicle.
Fire officials responded to the scene and confirmed the fatality of the crash. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification. A coroner was notified to conduct a full report.
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the accident.
