Police Officer Runs Over Beachgoer in Venice

 
VENICE, CA (April 25, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries Easter Sunday after she was run over by a police vehicle along Ocean Front Walk, near Speedway.
 
The incident happened around 2:10 p.m., in the 1000 block of Ocean Front Walk. Authorities then arrived to the area soon after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
 
Furthermore, the woman stated she was asleep near the boardwalk by other sunbathers, when an LAPD vehicle patrolling the area ran over her.
 
Police stated that they allegedly did not see the woman lying on the sand, causing them to run over her head and body. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital as a result.
 
According to reports, the woman suffered multiple broken ribs. She also stated that she was dizzy after the impact. Authorities are still currently working to eventually determine liability.
