Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Driver in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 2, 2019) – A 78-year-old pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle at Divisadero and Sutter streets Wednesday.
According to authorities, the woman suffered serious injuries when the driver – attempting a turn at the intersection – struck her.
The 32-year-old man behind the wheel stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Per authorities, he did not suffer any type of injuries following the crash.
However, the elderly pedestrian suffered major injuries, prompting paramedics to transport her to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Details are limited at this point, but authorities are investigating the 8:45 a.m. crash that took place near UCSF Mount Zion medical center.
