1 Dead in Hesperia Bicycle Accident on Cottonwood Avenue near Yucca Street
HESPERIA, CA (July 28, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a truck hit and killed a woman in a crash on Cottonwood Avenue near Yucca Street.
The incident happened at 12:05 p.m. on Cottonwood Avenue, between Yucca and Main Street.
When the first responders arrived, they found a white box delivery truck owned by Armando’s Furniture. Also, they found a female near a white bicycle in the middle of the road.
Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Taylor Reynolds confirmed that they declared the woman dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the box truck driver and passenger remained at the scene. Officers confirmed that they were cooperative with the investigation.
Also, the road remained closed for multiple hours while the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) worked at the scene.
