Driver, Dog Killed in Blaine Car Crash on 5 Freeway
BLAINE, WA (November 21, 2019) — Last Thursday’s solo-car crash on 5 Freeway near D Street left one person dead.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a gray 2003 Honda Accord traveling north on the freeway at a high rate of speed crashed into a cement barrier. Authorities believe the driver, who remains unidentified, failed to negotiate the curve on the roadway right before the impact.
It is unclear whether impairment played a role, but the crash was listed as Speed Too Fast to Negotiate Curves.
Officials impounded the car for safekeeping. However, police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time.
