Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on W 23rd Street [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (September 11, 2024) – A woman has died following a pedestrian accident on W 23rd Street Wednesday morning.

It was about 7 a.m. when the deadly crash happened at the intersection with Santa Fe Avenue.

Investigators determined the woman was walking in a marked crosswalk on the north side of the intersection. Suddenly, a motorist turned left from West 23rd Street toward Santa Fe Avenue and struck the pedestrian. 

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the victim to a hospital, where succumbed to her injuries three days later,

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
