Woman Fatally Hit by Big Rig in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA (February 15, 2024) – A woman carrying Nevada identification sustained fatal injuries following an Interstate 5 pedestrian crash Wednesday morning.

The fatal accident happened around 4:20 a.m. in the number three lane near the W El Camino Avenue offramp.

The driver of the involved big rig remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Meanwhile, CHP does not consider drugs or alcohol as a factor for the driver. They are investigating if alcohol or drugs were a factor for the pedestrian.
