Hayward Woman Killed in Industrial Boulevard Vehicle Collision [Hayward, CA]

Hayward, CA (October 12, 2023) – A 39-year-old Hayward woman was killed and children were injured following an Industrial Boulevard vehicle collision Monday night.

The fatal pickup truck vs sedan collision unfolded at about 8:53 p.m. at the intersection with Hesperian Boulevard.

Officers said the 46-year-old Modesto man driving the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. He did not sustain injuries from the accident.

The sedan was occupied by a family when the collision happened. The driver, a 36-year-old Hayward man, and a 3 and 9-year-old girl were riding in the backseat. They sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital, and the 39-year-old Hayward woman who died at the scene.

The Hayward Police Department has not yet released the names of the victims as the investigators are still identifying the cause of the collision and which driver may have been at fault.
