1 Dead in Escondido Pedestrian Accident on Rose Street and Washington Avenue
ESCONDIDO, CA (October 13, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Rose Street and Washington Avenue.
The incident happened at about 12:30 p.m. on North Rose Street and East Washington Avenue.
According to the initial investigation, a red Nissan Titan headed east on Washington Avenue. Then, it didn’t yield at a red light and crashed into a northbound blue Ford Fusion on Rose Street.
The vehicle struck both pedestrians as they crossed the street.
As a result, the 45-year-old female pedestrian died. Meanwhile, responders took a 7-year-old child to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the condition of the driver.
